Current Scalice News

Greetings everyone. We are brand new at "blogging" , so this will be pretty humble at first.

Very simply, Roger and Janet are set to go to Manila on May 6. The church here in Monterey will be in the hands of Pastor Nate Holdridge, as of May 17 and we will move our possessions to a humble abode in Nevada. We hope to give a farewell message to CCMB on Sunday, May 4.

The Lord has told us to go to this land with open hearts. We expect instructions after arrival and are content, like Abraham, to go to the land that he will show us, even though we don't know exactly what it is he will be asking us to do. Our general goal and expectation is discipleship, especially pastoral training. Manila is like Jerusalem in the time of Nehemiah. The people are in distress and the wall needs shoring up. We are hoping that perhaps a network of home churches can be expanded throughout Metro Manila and beyond. May God's will be done.

We plan to come home at least once a year. We have six grandchildren and desire to remain connected with family and friends in America. We covet your prayers and greatly appreciate your friendship in Christ. Please stay in touch with us as the Spirit leads.
Your fellow servants in Christ,
Roger and Janet Scalice

Dear Roger & Janet ... Welcome to the blogosphere! Thanks again for your kindness and hospitality this past weekend. Although there are lots of question marks in your future right now, we serve the One who knows (and, in fact, is) the ANSWER! With love ... your friend, Bob Bennett

It seems to me like Heaven got a 911 emergency call two years ago. You two paramedics got dispatched to the scene ....applied your giftings and skills, and honest love ...patient healed well.... now there's another "call" for you out in the Pacific Ocean. Thank-you Roger and Janet.....for everything. Ralph and Suzanne Gaily

Thanks Roger and Janet for helping me to, "grow in the grace and knowlege of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!" I am very thankful that the Lord sent you to CCMB. May your next assignment affect souls of many, that they may be saved in the name of Jesus Christ!
May God bless you abundantly,
Tyler

We are grateful for you two, Roger and Janet, and the healing way that God has used you in the CCMB Fellowship. We also are grateful for the amped up mission vision you have given to CCMB. It was a joy to be with you in the Philippines and we look forward to remaining in touch and, Lord willing, perhaps serving alongside you there someday. Thanks! Blessings, Carolyn & Dale DePalatis

Dear Roger and Janet,

It's been wonderful to watch how the Lord has used you... in the past and at CCMB; and now in the present/future.

I continually thank God for His work through you to stabilize the fellowship in Monterey. God is good, Jesus is faithful, and you guys have been a blessing to many.

In Christ,
Bill Holdridge

Dear Pastor Roger and Janet,

May the Lord bless you as the Lord leads you on to new adventures in the Phillipines! "Thus the Lord says" in Jeremiah 6:16, "Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls." The old truth of God's Word is ever new. May the Word of the Lord continue to direct both of you! I love you, man!
Your younger brother in Christ, Tom Petrich
